Infrared Photo

So I've been playing around a bit with Infrared photography with my D70 and came up with this photo.

IR is a cool effect.  are you doing it with an IR filter or is it some kind of pshop action?

here's one i did through Pshop, it's a regular pic that i ran through an IR action and another Pshop action and then combined the 3 layers to get this:

Basically just a Ir filter on the Lens.  It yeilds a image with a red cast to it that I simply convert to B&W in Photoshop, then adjust levels and that's it.

What's your exposure time on that, Brian? I ask because I can see movement in the leaves.

Damon, did I tell you I added a 35/2 to my repertoire? It helps me a lot with indoor stuff where the 50/1.4 is too long.

cool, how do you like it?  i'm actually about to sell my 70-200/f4 and 24-70 and go back to the 17-40 and get a 100mm macro.  and maybe some CF legs for hiking.  i need something wider than the 24-70 and the 18-55 kit lens that came with the 20d just ain't getting it done.  plus, the 24-70 is such a huge glass investment when i can get a great lens and CF legs and maybe a 1.4x extender, it's a no-brainer...

hey, now that my zoom will be gone, can i borrow your 70-200/2.8 for the wednesday before the golf tournament at congressional (june 8, i think)??  i could use my 135 as well, but the reach of the 200 would be helpful.
