Good shockmounts for modded Nak300s
« on: May 23, 2005, 07:03:29 PM »
Can someone out there recommend some decent ones that are relatively small (to accompany my small modded 300s<--no bodies)?  I know I could measure them and purchase some according to that but I was just curious if any of you out there knew of a specific model that worked quite well for you.

Thanks

Not sure what you'll be mounting (i.e. is it just the very tip after the cable? the whole cap?), but I'd try the Shoeps SGC clips...the worked when I was running AKG 460s w/actives.
Right now nothing...in the past: Schoeps CMC6, AKG 480, AKG 460, AKG 414, MBHO 603a, Neumann KM100, ADK TL>Schoeps MK4, Schoeps MK2, Schoeps MK41, AKG ck61, AKG ck62, AKG ck63, Neumann AK40, Neumann AK50, MBHO ka200>Lunatec V2, Lunatec V3, Apogee Mini-Me, Oade M148, Oade M248, Sound Devices MP2, Sonosax SXM2>Sony (mod)SBM1, Apogee AD500>D7, D8, D100, M1, R1, R4, R09, iRiver HP120, Microtrack

Can I assume the AT8410's are bigger than you are looking for?

I can't find anything online about the Scheops SGC. Trying googling it but nada.

Someing else that is on TS somewhere, if you have the Nak mounts that came with the 300's, put them together (butt to butt) with a shockmount holding them. I can't find the thread just yet, but I'm still looking.

I may have dreaming it, but I swear not. It was a nice little set up. Perfect for NOS or DIN, I forget what the spacing ends up being. I've searched Nak, Franken Nak, Bat Bar, I'm starting to think I'm crazy.

That's it! We have a winner. I skipped right over that one too...

Thanks!
