Ok, so the subwoofer in the den quit working. I think the subwoofer is bad and not the output from the receiver, however, I'm not 100% sure. Its a Harman Kardon AV525 receiver and a JBL powered subwoofer (don't know the model).
It is connected via a line level out.
The sub gets power and it knows when there is a signal b/c the light turns from red to green however nothing comes out. tried everything i could at the receiver level to make sure it should be sending to the sub and all looks good.
Since it takes a rca line level in, i figured i could plug the jb3 into it (line out to line in) and at least hear some bass coming out. Nada, so i think it is the sub. I guess I could also try the line level from the receiver into the jb3 to see if that gets signal.
Are my tests valid? Its under warranty and I'm going to just take it back but wanted to get opinions.
Thanks,
Gray
