DAT transfer help: CO2 and TRANSIT user help
« on: September 01, 2005, 09:05:12 PM »
New to transferring and need some assistance.  Trying to transfer my DAT from my D7 to my hardrive.  Going 7pin out>coax>m-audio CO2>optical cable>m-audio transit.  Here is my problem.  When hitting record on CDwave, I'm not picking up a signal from the D7.  Checked the settings on the CO2 and it is correct, picking up a signal, transit is working properly.  What do I need to do?  Anything special I need to do to my transit settings?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Naiant +60v|Low Noise PFA's (x2) ->
DarkTrain Right Angle Stubby XLR's (x3) ->

I'm a dumbass!!!!  Got it working.  Checked my setting in control panel and the mic setting was still set to the default.  About the CO2, wasn't aware it wasn't bit perfect.  Would the hosa odl be the only way to go?

ummm, im not too sure if there are many if any other options than the hosa boxes, its just that theyve been proven MUCH more reliable than anything else.

seems youve been doing your homework if ya even know of the hosa boxes!

Yeah, just got the CO2 in from cascade media today.  Great prices.  Was looking at the hosa boxes and the m-audio and went with the m-audio just for the fact that I was happy with the transit.  The reason I bought the transit is I needed a mobile external sound card to switch between my pc and lappy.  Hoping to put the DAT up and go lappy, just have to go with a power supply solution that will work for my needs and budget.

also, the firewire audiophile or another m-audio device rings a bell in my mind that would accomplish both of those
