Great idea but to little to late why would you bring out a 16 44.1 recording devices now.
If they made this as 24 96 and included spdif in this would have been a great product,
The lame interface needs work too.

I think 16/44.1 will hold its place for a while yet.  Components to build something like this are dirt cheap these days and I bet they are going for a lower price point than other 24 bit devices.  Probably targetting a different audience than most of us here at TS.com

yes great intentions but poor quality: large, analog only...
does anybody out there have one?? i'm curious about it, i'd like to know how it driven.

Has anyone tried using one of these yet?  What's battery life like when recording in wav, and how clumsy are the level meters?

Amazon has these priced at 110, kinda tempting since I already have an iPod and a little mic preamp.
