I'm generally taping shows with this rig:
Core Sound LCB mics > Microphone Madness 7-position "mint box" bass roll-off > Line in on MZNH900 sony HiMD.
Now that you're all done laughing, I have a serious question:
Is there any way to reliably secure an 1/8 in stereo jack???
Usually, I have the mic's clipped to my hat brim, the wire running down my back to the bass roll-off box (which is wedged between my pants and my belt), and a wire wound thru a belt-loop to the MD recorder in my hand or pocket. I'm usually standing in a packed crowd in front of the PA and being jostled around quite a bit. Constantly worried that one of the plugs will get pulled out.
Have racked my tiny brain and can't think of any way to make the connections more secure. Any ideas? Someon must have found a nice (if rigged) solution to this predicament...couldn't find anything that addressed this issue on the boards here. Any help greatly appreciated!
