Done it a few times with mixed results.  My experience has been that the MT tends to run hot when accepting a pro level line signal, even with the L switch selected.  If you get an output for which the sound engineer (or you) can and is willing to control the strength of the signal, you'll be ok.

If you get stuck with something else-say the outputs on the engineers dat recording deck, for which the strength of the output signal cannot be controlled, you may find that the MT can't handle the signal without some sort of attenuation device between the source and the MT.

get attenuators
My gear: JK Labs AKG DVC > M10
              AKG 460 ck61/ck62/ck63 > DR-70D

A live concert to me is exciting because of all the electricity that is generated in the crowd and on stage. It's my favorite part of the business, live concerts.

well i kind of lucked out
most of the straight SBD>XLR>1/4" >MT2496 worked out great.  it was a little hot for sure and some of the vocals distort/clip, but its not too bad.  it sounds good to my ears :)
hopefully i'll be able to cover up some of the vocals distorting when i mix in the aud source

but attenuators would have helped, or running the v3 infront (if only i remembered the XLR>XLR)
