Broken Tbar...replace or fix?
« on: April 16, 2006, 03:32:24 PM »
Last night at a show, I busted by plastic tbar.  :o
this was happening as the first band was setting up, luckily I was able to scram home and grab my ricketty replacement tbar.
It worked fine for the show ;D

but I have a show on monday where Ill be running mics upside down from the ceiling, putting resistance on the mic holder.

question: should I search all the joints in town for a new one, easter, most shops are closed. Or should I get out the super glue and make the ricketty one super strong? the other one could benefit from super glue too, but Id half to hold iut while it drys, and that never works out in my favor  ???

So..what to do?

edit: spelling corrections

Seriously, the band makes the music. Tapers just point mics in the right direction and hit "record".

That's good to hear!  The last patcher I had complained about my AKGs, fluffed schoeps for about 15 minutes, stayed patched in, and farted on me all night long.
rig: Neuman u89s > Lunatec V3 > MT(24)/JB3(16)

Um, in my room, one seam is a little off and I stare at it constantly. It's, like, destroying me.

Im not too sure, it was my first time with them, and as far as I can tell, it sounds clearly like how it did at the show, but in tyhat situation, those 'ing mics are so heavy that that's the evenest we could pull, ha!
