Archiving data to DVD - ImgBurn, Nero or smth else?
« on: January 21, 2007, 09:18:51 PM »
Hi all,

What do you use for burning data (ie wav and flac files) to DVD?
Which software did you have the best success rate with, qualitywise?

Did anyone of you make a shootout between ImgBurn, Nero etc? Pros/cons?

Anything particular to have in mind when archiving with ImgBurn?

In some other forums, users have benchmarked the burn quality of the disc with Nero CD-DVD Speed:

Thanks a lot in advance,

Jan

i use Roxio EZ cd/dvd creator to burn data discs.
i only use ImgBurn for burning images typically for DVD-A
and Nero for audio cds.

agreed george, i have only EVER used nero express inside the ultra edition package, you can EASILY burn data dvd's/iso images/dvd video files(vob files/etc)/cdr's as well

burns everything but nero and my current burner burn DVD-R's just about flawlessly. ive had some times when nero+ my burner wouldnt want to complete a cdr but when i burn dvd-r's, i dont think ive ever had a bad one when burning  as data(wavs/flacs)
