Topic: recording video webcast?

i was wondering how to record a video webcast, if there is freeware out there
that anyone could recommend

if you're talking about the at&t blueroom... a mac will do it, just click the pull down menu in the quicktime player bar and save as source (which will be higher quality than save as quicktime movie)...you will need flip4mac installed.

... can't help ya with the PC.

I couldn't figure out how to do it, so I did this instead...so far, they've turned out read damned nice too!

I guess i'm a little late, but if you are talking about Windows media or Realplayer webcasts, this setup has worked for me in the past:
Use URL Snooper to get the direct link to the file, then use something like Net Transport to download it. This doesnt work for flash based webcasts though...
