I'm a newbie here and for the taping

(some recording with MD Sony...)
So i would like to buy :

Is it good an analog entry for an external mic ? for exemple :

I see it can record lossless, but can you monitor levels and change them on the fly?

as a tip, check ebay for a shop called roadpal, they're offering loads of h140 and nice prices... (they are called iHP140)
