"8.  Input Setup - Record Monitor Sw. - On"

Whyu should that be set to on (manual says only to set to on if using headphones to monitor the recording)...would it even be on if no headphones were being used?

Might save a little bit of battery power if turned off regardless of having nothing plugged into the phones jack.  I've always left it on so not to be surprised my phones don't work if wanting to monitor after starting a recording.

Always a chance there's lower recorded noise/distortion if turned off regardless of having phones plugged, but nobody's done testing for this to verify recording quality improvement of any kind happens with monitoring turned OFF.

Thx for the quick reply.  So I guess if there is no way I'm going to use headphones to monitor I might as well turn it off (like in a stealth situation).
