one thing you might try - is splitting the range up. you are supposed to open 6881-6889, and with a standard netgear router, you can only forward them to one IP. so what i have tried at home is routing 6881-6884 to my desktop and 6885-6889 to my laptop. i see a mix of green and yellow lights on both, and haven't been able to do any type of scientific testing, but the speeds seem comparable to when only one computer has ports open. neither shows up in parenthesis (firewalled) on bt.etree.org.
