Better than their CMC-25's but got torched by a moderately loud indoor show. Missing Persons, if one can consider that loud. Four bands in total, all moderately loud, and result is unlistenable. I'm just gonna stick with my 3-wire AT853's and 943's and stop being a gear slut.
This was running into the CA-9200? That indeed sounds like bad news.
I was running them into my 3-wire 9200(via 5-pin minixlr>miniplug adapter) with the 4.7k mod switched on. I didn't realize until later that using that adapter essentially bypasses the 4.7k mod switch. Which is why the CA-9200 with 1/8" miniplug input isn't available with the switchable mod. So, they were running un-modded. That being said, the distortion was like nothing I've ever heard from other un-modded mics. They got hammered.
