Hey. I notice this box has an optical out. Has anyone looked into giving it an input instead? Would certainly be tricky, but would be much more useful to me...

i'm not an electrical engineer by any stretch of the imagination but i would venture to say this is completely infeasible. if it were possible, i'm sure it would have already been done many times over.

To do that you'd have to rewire the PCB drastically. If you want to use the optical-out jack, you'd have to reverse and feed the optical stream bypassing the AD. Maybe some firmware hacking is required too. Given the tiny size, I'd say there's no way a layman can pull this off.
