I would recommend these batteries to ANYONE who needs some great rechargables.  I had been running Rat Shack 1800mAh until I got these.  As soon as I put the Rat Shacks in the D7, the meter would almost instantly drop from 4 bars(full) to 3.  I taped 2 shows, 3 hours,  at Bumbershoot this weekend with these new batteries before it ever dropped the first bar.  Ended up doing 3 shows on the same set and they still had plenty of juice left.  I only cycled them twice before using them the first time.  They are only supposed to get better.

Similar great experience with the PowerEx AAs here, too - I've used 1800, 2000, and 2200 mAH...all are great!

9v may be my next investment.  Only use one and it goes forever anyway, no sure if it would be worth it or not.

Higher capacity = longer run-time.

Let's say a device draws 400 mA.  And I'm using 1800 mAH capacity batteries.  The run-time is roughly:  capacity / device draw.  So in this case, 1800 mAH / 400 mA = roughly 4.5 hrs of run-time.  Using the same device, the 2200mAH  will provide an extra hour of run-time:  2200 mA / 400 mA = roughly 5.5 hrs of run-time.  I say roughly because I've never gotten 100% utilization out of any battery.

These work well also. Never had a sbm or d100 fall below 4 bars after 3.5 hours with it.

Stats: 1800mAh NiMH Typical ( Averages 1900 to 2000 mAh), 6V, 500mA


So I checked this thing out, pretty neat!  What caught my eye:
"MH-DPB180-SD Nickel Metal Hydride Version - STEP DOWN VERSION"

- this thing is apparently a cable designed for cameras requiring between 5V and 6V to help regulate the 6V output it's giving.

*SO* I wonder if I could use this thing to externally power a JB3?!?  How cool would that be!  Any thoughts from JB3'ers out there?  Doesn't it require something between 5 and 6V's?  It's almost cheaper then the extra spare battery I just bought was as those extra batteries are becoming *scarce*.

i've used a set of these Lenmar 2300mAH NiMH in my M1 for 4hrs without a single problem. still had power to rewind and playback to further drain them when i was finished taping.
