taping busking?

I've had some impromptu busking experience.  The first was in NYC with a Royer SF-12 (blumlein) and a less than desirable location (pic above). http://www.archive.org/download/glen2002-08-18.royer.shnf/glen2002-08-18d4t03_vbr.mp3, plenty of street sounds on this one.

Both times were not really street performers but concerts spilling out after closing time on to the strrets.

I think HTRF, XY (maybe at 100 or 110degrees), or blumlein would all be good.

Delicious, magical sound there..  ninja nerves is right, even on a still city night I'd fear a ribbon stretching bus whoosh.

You got me wondering about why Blumlien often sounds more similar to spaced omnis to me in a spacial ambient sense (not in the imaging or bass) than coincident and near-so directional setups. I started to comment about that here but got carried away so I started a new thread.  It's a bit technical but some might find it interesting.

Meanwhile back on the street..
