Mic stand cross bar
« on: December 03, 2009, 12:37:18 AM »
Hello everyone,

Recently I purchased a light stand from B & H photo (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/546528-REG/Manfrotto_by_Bogen_Imaging_368B_368B_Basic_Black_Light.html#reviews) that Im using to hold light reflectors. I would also like to use it for my CA-14 Cardioid's and CA-14 Omni mics. The stand is 11.3' at maximum height and comes with a 5/8" stud at the top of the extension.

Is there some type of cross bar I can purchase to fit the stand or is it something I would have to make myself. Thanks for your time.

Frank

Sound Pros also makes an item called the SP-GNA-2 that I find very convenient.  It's flexible and can be morphed into any pattern.  I use it with AT 853s, but I know other TSers have used it with CA-14/11 in the past as well.
Mics: Schoeps MK4V, MK41V, MK5, MK22> CMC6, KCY 250/5, KC5, NBob; MBHO MBP603/KA200N, AT 3031, DPA 4061 w/ d:vice, Naiant X-X, AT 853c, shotgun, Nak300
Pres/Power: Aerco MP2, tinybox v2  [KCY], CA-UBB
Decks: Sound Devices MixPre 6, Zoom F8, M10, D50
