M-Audio Delta 1010lt
« on: February 06, 2011, 08:28:47 PM »
I run a Lynx l22 right now just for play back. In the future I intend to do more multi track studio based recording. I have been in the market for a motu traveler or some type of multi track that is portable and stationary. However I realized I own a Delta 1010Lt card by M-audio with 10 I/O. I only used it in the past for cassette transfers so I only know one way to set up the software mixer. The question I am getting at is..... With wave lab 6 and the Delta 1010lt can I record multi track on my PC??

any Help would be great, thanks so much.
the rig...... playback PC-> Lynx l22 -> ART SLA-1 -> Cerwin Vegas (Vintage)

PREAMP, Shure FP-24, ST-9100

My M-Audio Delta 44 is FULL duplex.  And can multi-track just fine.  You need an external microphone preamp to feed that particular card, and an external headphone preamp to monitor the stuff you're tracking too, but yes it can be done.  The 1010 is supposed to be a beefier version of the same or similar.  I think they all share the same or similar audio chip  ice1712 or ice1724 or something like that.  Works fine in linux too, baring some pulse audio misconfigurations.

Short answer: It should work just fine.

Thanks much for the input. It's just that I did not want to go taring into the PC and switching out cards for an undesired results.

It should have ASIO capabilities.  Which should solve most woes.
