Tascam DR-100 MKII Firmware update

I agree with everything tonedeaf said about the Tascam.  It's a good value for the money, but certainly not the best available on the market.

Also, based on my thorough inspection of the case, it's all plastic except the guard rails surrounding the internal mics which do appear to be aluminum.
