Aiwa! Well there you go!
For basic SBD recording, more than likely you'll need an RCA>1/8 Y adapter cable. 2x RCA plugs on one end (right and left) into 1x 1/8" plug on the other.
Another option the the XLR route. Same cable, but it has female (outie with 3 holes, not inie with 3 prongs) XLR plugs on one end and 1/8" on the other.
I have a set of XLR>RCA cable with I can patch into my RCA>1/8" cable. Lets me do either/or.
Plug this into the analog input on the DAT, the internal Analog>Digital convertor does the rest.
If you want to do a digital input on your DAT, you'll need an external AD convertor. The AD20 is very popular, inexpensive, portable, battery powered, and uses 1/8" digital OUTPUT... so you can buy a 1/8">1/8" cable and be set for external digi... You still nedd the y cable to go SBD into the AD20 though...
Good luck!
