You are correct, but I was only referring to the  V caps!!  The 5 bump isn't as pronounced as the 4V

Mk's 5 also have a top end lift when run as cardioids but I believe its different than the mk4v's.

I have both; the 4V does seem to have a bit more of a boost. I also feel like I somewhat prefer the sound, but that's extremely subjective, given that my 4Vs are old, my 5s were bought new, and all Schoeps sound pretty alike...

The 41V, as noted, sounds the same as the 41; it's just a matter of preferring the convenience of vertical caps (I do)

I'd have to say that the mk6 caps sound different than all the caps mentioned here.  To my ears they sound the best of all schoeps caps but what do I know

No kidding.  Been looking at that package since Larry posted the link a few weeks ago.  Was ~3K at first.  I was thinking of sending the cables off to Robb to make some extensions for them (since they're only 8 feet) that would go between the lemos and collettes near the lemo end.  Then at the same time have some pfa's made that would also work with the extensions so they could be ran with the sax or any other pre w/ xlr connectors.  Did anyone find out how much voltage the power supply shown outputs?
