I am using CapCut these days. I like the interface. It has a sync audio option that works well for matching my audio with the cameras audio/video.
I used to use Reaper but wanted a more video forward editor. Tried DaVnci Resolve but my pc was struggling. Clipchamp sucksd.
In the same spot as you. Resolve is too much for editing some clips and replacing camera audio with separately recorded audio, Reaper is kinda clunky for video although I love it for all kinds of things audio related, Clipchamp sucks, so I started fooling around with Capcut.
The sync feature is awesome and it's really easy to import audio and sync it to the camera audio with a couple of clicks - but there's a hiccup. The exported render delays the audio by 8-10 frames so the exported final result is out of sync.
Anyone else using Capcut and have a workaround other than delaying the audio before exporting? It's not working out very well for me.
Apologies for reviving this 6 months after the fact but came back here looking for advice on the best film editor. I downloaded Capcut and used the auto sync and I did not notice the delay on the exported video so perhaps they fixed this in the interim?
Overall very happy with the software. Very easy to use, the sync is super helpful for syncing external audio and the whole process was quite intuitive. Additionally, had a 50GB video file and another 2GB of audio and had no trouble editing on my laptop (which does not have a fancy graphics card in it).
That said, I'm certainly no video expert so the additional features of Davinci that would be lost on me may be important to someone producing professional level videos.
