Anyone having trouble with bluetooth on iphone? Perhaps it's the latest software update for the phone but I cannot get the recorder to show up as a device.

Edit: I tried resetting the device but the only thing that worked was removing the Rec Remote app from my phone and downloading it again. I still can't get it to pair with my computer so  :smash:

Turn on wifi, Bluetooth and NFC. It should connect and then you can turn one off at a time to determine which ones are required. I found it varies from phone to phone

It would be nice to see a 32bit version now that the PCM A10 is discontinued.

It's odd that they discontinued the A10 without a replacement — the M10 didn't go away until the A10 was introduced, did it?

I've always liked Sony recorders!  I'm hoping they have a follow up to the A10.  I would be fine with a 32bit A10 to be honest.

I switched back to a DR-2d and I must say the A10 produced quite a lot of hiss.

Have you tried recording the same show with both?

You must have had a dud unit.  2D was on the noisier side of things for me.

I'd kill for a 32 bit A10. I think that is what is deterring me from using the chopped A10s I have and still use the Oade Concert Modded M10s. M10 still gives the feel of a Sony DAT for me. Especially when stealthing.

DR-2D is self noise is rated at -108dBu and the A10 at -116dBu by Avisoft tests.  Check their site for more details.  One caveat is that some recorders have self noise figures that change radically according to settings, eg the H1N whose noise gets radically worse at level settings at or below "6" as I recall it.  It's... complicated.
