There are tons of recordings made with those mics terminated directly to a stereo miniplug that do not have any distortion problems.

Why not get rid of the xlr's.

I wanted to have max SLP. and don't use battery box. I had issues before too, changed batteries after every show, because after 2h of recording it started to distort. At that time i didint knew about Low sensitivity mode and changed connections to XLR, another plus, i was thinking of is using XLR and internal mics at same time

UPDATE. Chris decided to give me full refund for mics. So i sent them during COVID. And what do you think.. USPS lost my package. I filed a claim month ago, no info. Such a great mics story i had :(

The one time a foreign postal service (Canada) lost a package, it was a full year before I had a check.  Hopefully YMMV.
Mics: DPA 4060 w/MPS 6030 PSU/DAD6001/DAD4099, Neumann KM 131, KMR 81i, Oktava MK 012, Sennheiser MKH 105, MKH 20, MKH 30, MKH 40, MKH 800 TWIN, lots of other studio appropriate choices
Recorders: Zoom F8n, Sony MZ-R50, portable MOTU based multitrack DAW for client work

If they will not find it i will get just about 30 eur refund from post office. I hope for miracle..

The USPS is currently using ships, instead of airplanes, to get a lot of mail across the Atlantic. Of course, this adds considerably to the shipping time. In other words, don't give up hope yet. It may just be that the package is on a slow boat...
