I've had a chance to run it now for 6 shows or so.  It has worked great everytime.  I haven't done any bit perfect testing on it, but it has been smooth sailing every time.  Worked perfectly each time and I've noticed no issues with the recording.  My view is that mod V3 (optical out)> Nomad JB3 makes for a very, very nice 16-bit recording package.

is that the pretty cool looking cable that CAN bend up to 90* or you can leave it straight too

ive been eyeing those up too
