It is a somewhat video centric recorder.

In Europe one can get a Zoom F8n Pro for the same price.
Or the MixPre 3 II for 30% more or the MixPre 6 II at a 50% higher price.

Will be very interesting to see where and how Deity will position themselves.

Interesting device, but definitvely video oriented: no 44.1kHz for audio 😲

If one records 4 tracks with it and wants a product at 44k.  I would record at 96K.  Mixdown the four tracks to two tracks stereo at 44k or whatever.
There are free DAWS that can do this too.

Sure there are, as there are payed tools.
I just think it's interesting to note that it has no "audio" frequencies (44.1/88.2/176.4) at all (like previous devices did).

The 44.1/88.2/176.4 are just for convenience for CD.  The standard has been 48/96/192 generally otherwise.
