Here's something that has been covered in other treads on wind-noise, but bears repeating here. Be aware that when recording in very windy conditions the sound on the recording can get "swirly", even though the microphones are sufficiently wind screened. Many tapers attribute that to the microphones getting pushed around as the stand sways in the wind, but I've found that not to be the case.  It's actually the wind pushing the wavefronts around between the PA/stage and the recording location.  The only remedy is to move closer. [edit- if can't move it may help to lean harder on the SBD if you have a patch]
