well. i can come up with 2K$ options or 200$ options. i just need a number that you are comfortable with, and we can work from there with all the options

definately the $200 side of the options. we're looking to get a recording of the soundboard mix onto a laptop and be able to edit it as cost effectively as possible.

at the moment, i would suggest looking into getting a UA5. that will like to your laptop via usb and provide a good A/D converter for the price.

you could score one from ebay or someone used cheap. if you are going to run it with a laptop all the time it doesnt have to be modded like everyone here runs (digi-mod to allow standalone use w/out a pc) but it would still work if you bought one with that mod allready

for another 100-200$ you could jump up to a m-audio firewire 410 or the newer edirol box (forgot the model#) that would aloow some multitracking with your laptop

UA-25

Tickets are dead to me.  Except the ones I have, don't have, and lost.  Not to mention the ones you have, don't have, and lost.   And the ones that other dude has, doesn't have, and lost.  Let me know if you need some tickets, I'm happy to oblige.

The one with a HD in it?  I think that's the R-4.  The ua-5 is a smaller looking UA-5.  The R-4 is pretty expensive though....  most guestimates put it around $1600.

There's a discussion about that one in the recorder section though...

Is that the one you were talking about?

Because nothing says "I have lots of money and am sort of confused as to how to spend it" like Bose.

No, it think the FA101 is the one...
“When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying the cross.” Sinclair Lewis: How Fascism Will Come To America (1935)
