Help requested: do AT853 and AT933 sound the same?
« on: September 13, 2005, 09:55:41 AM »
This may be a dumb question, but I'd like to know if these sound the same:

AT853 mics: AT853 caps and AT853 (fat) bodies
AT933 mics: AT853 caps > reducers > AT933 slimline bodies

I have the option of either, so any input much appreciated.

Cheers

AT933 mics: AT853 caps > reducers > AT933 slimline bodies

this is what I run... from what I understand, they're just smaller than going straight 853. same/similar sound though in my experience... although the 933's may be slightly better (ie: more well-rounded).

I thought they were the same, but I've never done a true comparison.
AT933s (C/H/O) > AT8531s > UA-5 > H120 (Rockboxed)
