I went with a 10' Amvona light stand from EBAY.  Now I'll get a T-bar and the accessory to attach it and I should be good to go.

Do they make clips anywhere to clip the mic cables to the pedastal of the stand?

Also, does anyone have an opinion on the length of the T-bar for cardoids?

Thanks everyone for helping a newbie at this.

Go for Velcro ties... clips break and are inflexible..

Office Depot / Staples always has them in stock..

Go guys...

And you may want to loop them around your mic cables that way they do not dissappear in the dark...

Since they are not expensive keep extras around.. they can proove invaluable at times..

Enjoy -

Also carried at Home Depot and Lowes, just about any electronics parts store, or electrical shops.
