my stepo by step is

1. track in cdwave
2. open first track in wavelab
3. once first track is open, go to master plugin and fix the sample/bit rates and hit render
4. batch process the files in place
5. ???

bean, be careful in batch processing individual 24/96 tracks down to 16/44, you're gonna get errors at the track breaks (and not just SBE's)...see this thread for the tests i did:

yeah, and the beauty of this method is that as long as you have your temp file set to something less than 32 bit float, you can put a 2 gig file and then another file next to it in the active window (using the insert audio file > at end command) and work on them together to resample, then dither, then track.  i haven't had wavelab choke on the file when working with it that way.

so if my temp file is set to 24-bit, i can open first 2GB file(beg of set) and then insert the next 2GB file(end of set) and wavelab wont choke?

thats great to know :)
