Hi posters, I'm new here. Someone suggested I try to find someone on dimeadozen so I could do this (see thread title), sent me a link, and this site was a link on their link, so firstly am I in the right place?

I taped Lloyd Cole at The Basement, Sydney, April 19th, with an iriver recorder and it sounds quite ok to me but this person suggested that maybe I could find someone to give it a final polish before it gets sent to  dimeadozen. Or, if I'm in the right place (is this site affiliated with dimeadozen or what?), maybe that someone, after the polish could then send it directly to them... however. I've never used dimeadozen or bittorrents, just want to make the show available for other people and also would like to hear the results. I look forward to replies.

Anyway, here is the setlist -

Lloyd Cole - The Basement, Sydney, April 19th '07

1. Woman In A Bar
2. Don't Look Back
3. Are You Ready To Be Heartbroken?
4. Music In A Foreign Language
5. Like Lovers Do
6. Pay For It
7. Cut Me Down
8. Why I Love Country Music
9. How Wrong Can You Be?
10. No Blue Skies
11. Late Night, Early Town
12. Butterfly
13. Rattlesnakes
14. A Reason To Believe (Tim Hardin)
15. No More Love Songs
16. Love Like This Can’t Last
17. Hey Rusty
18. I'm Gone
19. 2CV
20. Undressed
21. Four Flights Up
22. Unhappy Song
23. The Young Idealists
24. Lost Weekend

encores:
25. My Bag
26. Jennifer She Said

It's a single MP3 file, 1hr 27 min 08 sec, 128kps, 79.7MB. It would be great then if whoever I send it to could also divide it up into individual songs as well. Potential helpers pm me so I can send it out to you.

Next time - run your iRiver to record in lossless WAV, that iRiver has enough memory to hold a whole show, and it will sound better too :)
*Audio*
Mics:
SP-CMC-19
Panasonic WM61a

Recorders:
MZ-RH910 (Hi-MD)
Sony TC-WE435 (CASS)

*Video*
Canon ZR-500 [Mini DV]
54" Tripod

I spend most of my money on gambling, booze, and women. The rest i spend foolishly.

You will find some good info at this link: http://taperssection.com/index.php/topic,73139.msg978841.html#msg978841

That is the iRiver tapers FAQ.  You should look into rockbox ( www.rockbox.org , http://misticriver.net/forumdisplay.php?f=137 particularly Norbusan 's custom build ) if not there already cause many people will avoid your source cause it is lossy.  Thats just how it is.

Sending pm now about details on the file and looking into your pull for you.

Did you record off the SB or with mics?  Share some info about your equipment/methods and you can get some good pointers here.  Either way record in WAV format next time, 44.1KHz/16 bit.  That is CD quality.  MP3 is fine for personal use, but for archiving and sharing on any of the aforementioned torrent sites it's no good.
