Run and Configure DUC

 

• After you press Finish above, DUC should start.  If it does not, start the program from your program group: Start | Program Files | No-IP | No-IP DUC.
• When presented with the spash screen, check the Do Not Display Splash Screen checkbox:

 

 

• In the next window, log in to DUC by pressing the OK button after entering your account info: email and password.  This is the same email and password with which you signed up for a No-IP account:

 

 

• You should now see the DUC startup screen.
• Press the Options button:

 

 

• In the Standard tab, check the Run On Startup checkbox:

 

 

• Change to the Connections tab and – at the bottom of the Standards tab within the Connections tab – set the slider so DUC checks for IP changes every 5 minutes then press the OK button:

 

 

• Check the smiley-face checkbox:

 

 

• Close the DUC startup window by pressing the X in the upper right of the DUC title bar.
• NOTE: DUC is still running!  This is good.  You can always open – or stop the application completely – by right clicking the icon in your system tray in the bottom right corner of your screen.

 

 

(If the DUC icon in your system tray flashes back and forth between the No-IP icon and what appears to be an envelope, you can stop this by simply double-clicking the icon in your system tray.)
