If you already have the power amp(s), what features do you need / want in the receiver? Preamp, tuner, switchbox for multiple playback devices, multi-channel support, surround sound processor, etc.?
They say 3 percent of the people use 5 to 6 percent of their brain97 percent use 3 percent and the rest goes down the drainI'll never know which one I am but I'll bet you my last dime99 percent think with 3 percent 100 percent of the time
let me suggest the receiver i use, it has come down in price significantly since i bought it but im sure its not all that cheap anymore- you are gonna have to do some research. it is only missing 2 things i wish it had- greater video switching capabilities and hdmi inshttp://www.hometheatermag.com/preampprocessors/120/
the Symph has 3 inputs, I believe.two outputs if I remember correctly. man, you'll be in such audio bliss w/my system.
more budget oriented but very solid looking. http://www.outlawaudio.com/products/rr2150.htmloops, just noticed you want multi channel, they do have a surround modelhttp://www.outlawaudio.com/products/1070.htmlI think harman kardon, denon, and yamaha have nice receiver lines too.
