Has anyone found a U.S. supplier for a Right-angle Toslink to Right-angle Mini Optical Cable?

but I have been unable to locate that particular cable (or one like it) anywhere.

mcminone used to carry them in 1,2 and 5 meter lengths. They no longer list them on their website but if enough people ask them about them they may have another run made. LAst time they still listed them but were oiut of stock they showed a minimum run of 100 needed for them to get them back in stock.

I submitted the question to them.  They still have the RA mini - RA mini, BTW.
It's hard to believe that these cables are not available anywhere except Japan (or at least apparently so).

I use the same one.  I bought mine from SP for ~$20, and then found another retailer soon after for a bit less.  Maybe someone can chime in....

This is close but not exact as it does not have the mini(1/8") tip.

I can't seem to find it on their site.  Maybe they no longer carry it?  I do remember it was real tough for me to find one when I was in the market, but it's certainly worth the search.  I say, avoid adapters/connectors at all cost.

Here's what I ended up finding out after starting this thread:
Neither mcminone or SP have these cables anymore.  The only vendor option I found for a new cable was to get the Sony brand sent from Japan.  Luckily, a very kind member of this board sold me one that had been purchased back when they were still available. (by mcminone, I believe)

If the order is large enough, I got the feeling from the mcminone representative that they could do another production.  Apparently, there isn't enough demand for this cable to keep it as a shelf item.

Make sure you are getting a cable with the right type of connectors already on the ends NOLAfishwater. Adapters are just another thing that can go wrong or be not plugged in properly. Both of the last two hyperlinks have toslinks on both ends, not toslink on one end and miniplug on the other end.

What pieces of equipment are you using this cable to connect?

how much does a PDA w/audio card and optical in cost?

I use the Monster THX I100FO optical cable w/ a mini plug adapter attached w/ electrical tape on one end.

Works great!

I have found that the cheap asss optical cables drop samples fairly easily.  That's just my experiance though.
