a couple of days ago i recorded 5th and 6 grade xmass concert here in town.i set up my mics on the lip of the stage Shoeps mk4-vms-v3-jb3. when i returned home and listened throughout the recording the music sounds garbled; not digi noise; the music is there but the best way i can describe the sound is as if tiny drops of water were dropped arbitraraly upon the tape causing the music to become muffled, garbled. i immediately set up my rig at home and triied to recreate the incident. nothing! anyone else have this problem possably can offer up an explaination for why this happened.

it is great because the toslink end swivels, so you can make the cable to any direction out of the optical out you want. just an added bonus

I doubt it's your optical cable...what you describe sounds more like something happening on the analog side(muffled)...not digital...
