Thanks for the tips.
Though the show is Friday. 2 days away.
(actually in 48 hours I will already be 4 hours into the show)

No chance of getting the rig up in the air. This is strictly stealth.
Mic will be mounted on the lapel of my jacket. Not ideal, I know, but it does have the advantage of blocking noise behind me, while still capturing the ambiance of what is in front of me.
Considering how cheap the mic is, it doesn't do too bad with quieter stuff, and does well with mid-range. But it has problems with bass. Heavy bass guitar, and most especially loud bass-drum.

I am already expecting less than stellar results. But looking at this as a good chance to get familiar with the rig, and making sure I can work everything properly.
(I've been practicing with it here at home, but it is not the same as field use. In a throng of people, with a bunch of stuff going on all around me)
Valuable experience that will help when I do get good mics.

Always looking for Iron Maiden and Papa Roach audio that I don't have.

Turns out, the internals were better than the mic I was using.
Found out when I got busted (thanks to someone nearby turning me in  ::)  )
So, I had to ditch the mic and hope the internals would work.
Turns out they were better.

I did end up with my levels too low though.
Have a lot of boosting to do in post.
Made sure to rectify that for the Saturday show, and that came out much better, with little less work to do in post.

Here is a sample of what I got.
