mic placement
« on: December 14, 2012, 10:07:38 PM »
If you have to set up microphone stand on the right speaker / side of stage,  would you still sit up ortf or adjust to speakers?  Still back may be 25 or 30 feet in a small room.

Would need to see the room but I would not roll ORTF. If anything I'd either go A-B and point at the right stack or make a minimal angle with the right mic slightly outside the right stack and the left one facing as much toward the left stack as you can comfortably.

Yeah, that was what I was going to do but was able to move center when not to many people showed up and not worried about the dancers.  It had been awhile since taping so thought I would ask here what you guys do.  It turned out pretty good.  Thanks.
