I've heard a few CMC-25 tapes and I find that they almost always sound too thin.

On one occasion I was trying to mix in a CMC-25 ambient source with a board feed but it sounded so bass light that I ended up being sent the file twice more because I assumed there was some weird phase or encoding problem.

They good for supplementing a board feed that might be lacking some of the instruments but on their own thay remind me too much of those "cut the bass, hype the treble" torrent site remasters.

Nice and small though.

Yeah, small package, about the same as my AT943's.

My initial thought last night on the ride home was: "Shit, I must've had the HPF filter switched on." Then I realized my CA-UGLY doesn't even have a HPF on it. Live and learn, might be decent for all acoustic shows, but so are my AT853's and CA-14's.

Sad...
