Will the AD2000 work with just a soundboard?

We have a Yamaha mixing board. If I go rca out of the board into the rca in of the AD2000, can I stream that into my terratec ewx 2496 optical in and then into Cool Edit Pro?

Basically the AD2000 is the Sound Professional's low low cost A/D...  sound quality wise, I'm guessing it's at least a moderate improvement over going analog in to a PC sound card..

But to answer your question Chris, that'll work just fine.
