Reducing bass with Edirol R09 (internal mics)

I've just recorded my first couple of shows with my Edirol R09.  Great machine but while I wait for my external mics, I have used the internal mics.  The recordings are good but a bit bassy (which the shows were ).  Is there a setting on the R09 where I can reduce the bass.  I had the low cut off and the AGC off as well.  My levels were around 13-15 (recordings were in a cabaret and a bar).

I'd just live with the bass as is, and then reduce it a little in post. I've read people here say many times that you can always take bass out of a recording, but it's a royal pain trying to put bass back in to a thin recording.

Please, don't use the Low-Cut. Ever. Get rid of the bass on post. R-09's Low-Cut feature is not intended for live music. Trust me. I did that once. You'll end up with a horrible, thin sounding recording.

You need a proper editing software: Sound Studio, Audacity, Soundforge and many others. That kind of software has a feature called HPF (high pass filter). You can decide the amount of bass you want to filter. It's not really hard.

Thanks.   I'm using Audacity for normalizing and fades, and I'm amazed at how easy it is to use.  I haven't explored any of its other features yet, but I'm sure that they're just as easy.

Church Audio mics and preamps work very nicely with the R09. Definitely worth checking out. I've had a pair of his CA-11s for just about a year now, and I've had some very nice results with them.

I've heard amazing things about the Church gear (and amazing recordings).

My friend Arni has a great sounding recording with his SP CMC-8. Very good mics.

You can also try Microphone Madness cards (HLSC-1 Sennheiser MKE 40) or omnis (HLSO-Micro Sennheiser MKE 2).
Last night I taped for the first time with Senn MKE 2 >bb>R09 ( the great Larry Coryell). I'm amazed.
