noob question--CSB vs CSBmod
« on: May 12, 2008, 07:11:10 PM »
I often see both of these mics listed on various trading pages. From what I understand, CSBmod is just the normal CSB with a circuit modification which takes out some bass. However, I see the Core Sound makes Battery Boxes with rolloff as well. Just wondering if anyone could clarify this for me. TIA.

Seven or 8 years ago CSBs were a great choice for entry level mics, I think today there are some better choices out there that you should look into.

not buying, just curious as to the difference (I run a recording history for a band that was heavily taped in the mid 90s)
