wish i could...the soundstorm is integrated on my asus A7N8X deluxe motherboard.  Here's what happened the last time I sent a question to Asus...

Q: "Does your soundcard SPDIF IN lock to the far end device such as a Sony TCD-D8 DAT? for digital transfer synchronization?"

A:"Your Sony TCD-D8 DAT sends an analog signal via SPDIF to the soundcard so there is no digital transfer synchronization."

my guess would be that it most likely does, and also you arent going to get an easy answer out of them.  best you might be able to do would be to test it yourself.

hmmm...i'd be curious to see if it is indeed bit perfect.  i have an asus A7V8X motherboard and it came with those spdif connectors but i never even connected them since i had the delta 2496.  if someone can give me some quick and simple instructions to do a bit accuracy test i would be willing to test this out just out so maybe i can sell my 2496.

do a transfer of the same show over both the soundcards

then you will need to crop each show to start/end at the same bit, which is a little tricky but is fairly easily done

i use sf 6.0 and you can magnify it down to the bit, which will eventually be just dots to signify samples

i used a peak or a low mark in the recording so i could easily find the same sample in the other recording

once you have cropped them to start/end on the same samples... open eac and choose Tools > compare wavs. it will ask for the first and then second wavs to compare, then it does the rest and will tell you about droped samples and what not

can't.  they dont sell anything directly.  all support goes to the manufacturer who distributes their stuff.

just my .02 on the subject -

I use the M-audio Delta 1010LT (about $279) which gives you the option to synch S/PDIF to the internal clock, word clock or the incoming s/pdif signal.  I must recommend it to anyone who is looking for a solid card with multi-track or 6.1 output.
