soundboard output distribution box?
« on: January 07, 2009, 11:24:33 AM »
I have access to a Allen & Heath soundboard with RCA outs for recording at teh club I record at most. Is there some sort of distribution box for sharing that output with more than one person? Would it need some isolation transformers to keep the various recorders from stepping on each other's toes? Any other considerations?

this could be a fairly cheap way to do it. 1 RCA in and 4 RCA outs.

Thanks, that might do the trick! Its cheap enough. For some reason I didn't even think about consumer grade A/V stuff, I might even have something similar at the house.

Not exactly what I was looking for but still a good device to keep in mind. I ran into a hum problem once hooking up my UA-5/laptop rig to a soundboard. This would have fixed that.

Peace OOK

This is what I wanted except that it wants a balanced TRS input and the output of the soundboard I'm looking at is unbalanced RCA jacks. Maybe this unit coupled with the ART DTI Dual Transformer/Isolator mentioned will do the trick.
