Just curious if anyone has ever done any of the following comparisons.

CK1 vs CK61
CK2 vs CK22 vs CK62
CK3 vs CK63

Yeah, I plan to run the card & hyper comps next week or the week after I get back from Hampton.  I still have two set of 460's so a true comp into my R-4 is no problem.

I'd also like to hear some true comps., especially w/ the stock 460 bodies.  I know my unscientific bias/opinion* from using/patching from almost all the caps at one time or another, but it would be really nice to have a true A/B to hear the difference.

ck2/22 beats ck62-uls (never heard a 62-df)
ck63 beats ck3
ck8 beats ck69(short)

Haven't really heard ck9 or ck69(long) samples.

Good info.   To interject though one factor you have to keep in mind with these caps is what bodies you're using.   For me I find the ck62 to be much more pleasant paired with the 480's or jw460's than the stock 460.  On the other side of that I prefer the ck61's with the stock 460's vs. 480/jw460.

Additionally I know this is preaching to the choir but I think the 483 combo is still the standard for all hypers.

Well said...along those lines, I think the ck2/22 sounds better with the 451/2 bodies vs. the stock 460...I think I just do not like the omni sound paired with the transformers in the stock 460 - too dark for my ears.

so which body do you prefer with the ck3... 451/2 or stock 460?
depending on the situation I like the 460 alot with the ck1
I recently got the 460 bodies so I haven't had enough time to do much comparing

All I know is I am constantly amazed at how good my 482s sound.

I like the ck1, ck3 & ck8 better with the stock 460 bodies.  My ck22 caps live on my 452 bodies.
