trying to uninstall a program, but keep getting a message that 'the system administator has set policies to prevent this installation'   it's my computer, i am the administrator.  Help me with some steps into the shittiest software microsoft has released.
we all live downstream.

Try uninstalling the application with administrator privileges (run the uninstaller as admin).

If this doesn't help, there are some registry keys you could change:

Try uninstalling the application with administrator privileges (run the uninstaller as admin).

thanks, how?  i'm running as owner, how to change?

Do right click on the uninstaller and select the option "Run as administrator" from the context menu.
If this doesn't work try the work-around with the registry settings.

I went here, at the bottom, and tried the workaround, but continue to get a syntax error when entering the code.

Just disable UAC and try the uninstall again.

As the others said. Turn UAC off.

another way you can do this is to.
go to start > control panel > user accounts > turn user control on of off.

Then try to uninstall and see if that don't fix your problems.
