Reducing Bass
« on: July 05, 2009, 01:20:05 PM »
The sound sucked teh balls for the first few tunes the other night
and the result was bass heavy. Never had to do much in post besides add gain
before and I use Soundforge 8.
Could someone give me an idea of how/what frequencies to reduce?
Under the EQ I have Graphic, Paragraphic, and Parametric

Here's a sample:

Your peak energy on that sample is at about 80-88 Hz.

There are a couple threads in the stickied post at the top of the forum that may help.

WOW Brian.  I hadn't seen that EX+ sticky thread at the top of this forum in the past.  That's awesome and kudos to you or whoever pulled it together.  Again, WOW!

Yeah me neither.
Maybe I just never noticed?
Either way thanks as I was having fun experimenting with different
frequencies and slopes rolling off.
