Topic: software mid-side processing

i tried the schoeps midside plugin as a VST plug-in with soundforge, and it doesnt seem to do anything. i monitor and preview and even tried running the process, but it doesnt do anything.

i thought the double-midside plugin could also do regular midside. does it need to be use din wavelab? what other options do i have?

Voxengo makes a very nice, free, VST plugin for M/S decoding/encoding.  You can download it here:

Where do you find that?  I'm using version 9.0a, and don't see it anywhere (no mention in the manual, either).

It's in the Pan/Expand function under the Processing tab.

I'll 2nd this.  I use it too.  excellent.
Voxengo MSED is what its called.  real time mixing, so you can listen and tweak until satisfied, then apply the setting to the raw files.
Also, you can take any XY recording and process it to raw mid-side, ....re-mix and then re-save as stereo.  very nice.
