Got to try the CA-11 card last week, and was really pleased with the turnout! This is an outdoor show and I'm 40-45 feet from center stage, slight to the left. Mics on my shirt collar. All I've done with the sound was to wide the stereoimage (from 100% to 135% in Adobe Audition), since I had the mics quite close to each other. Other than that - nothing! I'll never throw this mighty microphone away for sure!

Very eager to try this one out indoors over autumn and winter! Let me know what you think of this sample from Youtube. Naturally it sounds even better off youtube (in 24bit etc).

Thanks! I've been forced, many times before, to fix the sound up a lot after a recording, but when I listen to the 24bit 48kHz-recording I just feel so good. Finally something good to work with, already from the beginning. Sure I had the right surrounding at the show - no clappers, high screamers and so on + the sound at the show was good... but I think I got a keeper here! If Chris manages to brighten up the high's just a teeny bit more - well... than we have a winner!! There will be no better stealthmic for this price!

So natural, so small! SOOO GOOD!  ;D ;D

Thank you Chris!

What about a new sample, huh?

Europe - "Rock the night" from a few days ago. The CA-11's did the sound and my digital camera did the filming (which could be a lot better!)

Good samples. I also found out that the recordings with Chris' setup have too much bass and less higher tones. I always used equalizer to fix it.
CA-11 Cards > CA-9100 Preamp > Zoom H2 :)

Thanks you Chris Church for your awesome gear.

Too much bass? I think the bass is just fine (90%) but it's the highs I kinda miss... Seems Chris is looking over that, and perhaps it will be a v.2 coming out. Who knows?

I agree. I have started to just bump up the higher frequencies in post EQ. After that, it really is amazing the capture that the CA mics can give.

I have found sweetspots for my latest 2 recordings (A.Cooper / Europe) so no bump in the high end has been necessary, but I agree... Imagine what a CA11 v.2 with better high end would produce  :guitarist:

I used my CA-11 with Edirol on Placebo. A lot of bass, but I like that  ;D

Lots of bass for sure, but then again: you don't have a stupid 100dB-law for concerts in your country! I think this is why the CA11's suit so well in Sweden because of this law. Bands can't turn the volume up to 110 anymore...

Your clip is very very nice  :clapping:

Here's a clip from the Depeche Mode-show in Gothenburg I caught last week, no video unfortunately since I forgot the memorycard for my camera.... sound is great though if you ask me!
